Those who question Climate Change

"All the books that I have seen about the science and the economics of global warming ... miss the main point. The main point is religious rather than scientific. There is a worldwide secular religion which we may call environmentalism, holding that we are stewards of the earth, that despoiling the planet with waste products of our luxurious living is a sin, and that the path of righteousness is to live as frugally as possible. ... Environmentalism has replaced socialism as the leading secular religion." Freeman Dyson

Over the next couple of years I will be adding the names of more scientists and qualified people who question Anthropogenic Climate Change / Global Warming or links to other such lists - Ardeet, April 2011

A constant refrain from Anthropogenic Global Warming (AGW) believers is that "the science is settled" and "no respected/authoritative scientist disagrees with the fact that humans have caused climate change".

Piffle!

List of scientists opposing the mainstream scientific assessment of global warming is a list maintained in Wikipedia.  Last count (11 April 2011) was forty.

Freeman John Dyson (born 15 December 1923) is an English-born American physicist, mathematician, and futurist, famous for his work in quantum mechanics, nuclear weapons design and policy, and the search for extraterrestrial intelligence. The winner of the 2000 Templeton Prize.

Patrick Moore   (born in 1947) is a former environmental activist and one of the early members of Greenpeace, in which he was an activist from 1971 to 1986. He has sharply and publicly differed with many policies of major environmental groups, such as Greenpeace, on other issues including forestry, biotechnology, aquaculture, and the use of chemicals for flame retardants. He is an outspoken proponent of nuclear energy and sceptical of sole human responsibility for climate change.

850+ Peer-Reviewed Papers Supporting Skepticism of "Man-Made" Global Warming (AGW) Alarm is a compilation by Popular Technology of papers expressing scepticism over AGW.

U.S Senate report listing over 1000 international scientists who question anthropogenic climate change. The link to the long report is at the bottom of it's page.

The Oregon Petition has been signed by over 30,000 scientists who question anthropogenic climate change.

My understanding of science is that it is based on proof and not consensus.
